Free Yourself from Fear, Anxiety, and Worrying

     We read in, 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.

So why are you Afraid? If God has not given us a spirit of fear, where is it coming from? Who is it coming from? What does fear do to us? It actually stops us from accomplishing what God has promised us!  

 Let us break down this verse.  In this verse, we see promises from God, I love to talk about and recognize God’s promises to us.  There are thousands of them in the bible.   

One of the promises is Love, it is also the first commandment.   Love instead of fear.  Love is the opposition to hate.  Love conquers all things.  I can go on and on about love.  Here are a few bible verses that attest to the importance of Love.  Matthew 5: 43-48, 22: 35-40, Luke 6: 27-36, 10: 25-37, Romans 5: 5-8, 8:28, 8: 35-39, 12: 9, 13: 8-10

The second thing he promises us instead of fear is Power: Power is the next one in this verse. That “Holy Ghost” Power.  Power itself is simply the Holy Spirit. Romans 15: 13.

Acts 1:8, But you will receive power, that you may be witnesses.  Other verses for Power in the bible; Colossians 1:11, Ephesians 1: 19, 2 Chronicles 20: 6, Job 26: 7-14, 1 Corinthians 1: 18, 1 Corinthians 4:20.

Thirdly, A Sound Mind is the next promise in this verse that God gives us.  This is the opposite of Insanity, Senility or even Psychosis.   A strong mind,  is a mind able to withstand the wiles of the devil. You CAN be delivered or receive deliverance from the strongholds of fear, anxiety, depression and yes,  even suicide!   

We don't have to live with these things. God has already delivered us from these things when he allowed his son Jesus to die on the cross for us. He already suffered and died to deliver us from these things. Jesus paid the price for us. We don't have to suffer anymore! We now have the power over all these things!   

Satan wants us to just give up. "Throw in the towel" so to speak.  He wants us to let go of enjoying life. He came to steal, kill and destroy!  But God! But God! But God!  Hallelujah!  But God gave us his only begotten son, to give us eternal life and deliverance from sin and death, so that we also can have eternal life through his son Jesus!  John 10:10 (NIV) - says, The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. 

Luke  22: 31, 1 Peter 5: 8 tells us that Satan’s job is to persecute us! Remember that the next time you have fear, anxiety and worries.

Dear Heavenly father, I know I have sinned. I know that God gave his only son Jesus that I may have eternal life. I believe in you Jesus, please come into my heart and save me! I believe and receive you, Lord Jesus. I am saved now. Thank You Lord for saving me. Amen
