God has provided the answers for us, all we have to do is be aware of it, by reading our
bible and trusting in his words.
The simple formula is,
Ask + Believe + Receive + Give = Abundance
Mark 11:24 (NIV) says:
Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Ask
The asking part is pretty simple right? We are always asking God for one thing or another.
We ask God all the time for things, and we never stop asking. We are just like children
"Give me", Give me" Give me!"
Believe
But the key to this scripture in Mark 11:24 and the main idea is to believe. This is the part we all get hung up on and sometimes stuck in this step forever. This is because belief requires you to exercise your faith. Faith and belief go hand in hand. Now we all have probably heard the bible scripture that says if we have the faith of a mustard seed...
Matthew 17:20 -(NIV) He replied, because you have so little faith, Truly I tell you, If you have faith like as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "Move from here to there," and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
Now the secret here that is often missed, is actually another gift from God. The secret is that we only need to utilize a small fraction of the faith God gives us. He tells us in black and white that a tiny bit of faith can go a long way and is very powerful. So imagine if we had faith the size of an apple, what we could accomplish? God says to us here in the end of this verse that "Nothing will be impossible for you." This is limitless and THE most powerful blessings from God. God gave us this power. We don't have to ask him for it.
He already gave it to us! We keep asking and asking for something from God that he has already given to us. Our tiny minds can't think like God, but we can accept the gifts that he has already given us and use them for what we desire that aligns with God's will for our lives. Our tiny minds can't handle too much faith, so God told us if we just have the faith as small as a mustard seed, we could move mountains. Just imagine what we could do with even bigger faith! So, I believe he told us we only need a little faith because great faith would possibly cause us to think that we no longer need God. We would not remain humble and pray and thank him for what he has given us. We will begin to think we are in total control of our lives, when in reality, we still and always will need God's guidance and grace to survive and live an eternal life.
Jesus is the author and finisher of faith.
Hebrews 12:2 (NIV) - looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Receive
Faith and belief go hand in hand. We just have to ask the creator of all things - God for what we desire and believe that we have already received it, then it will be ours. He says this clearly in Matthew 11:24. Then the next step for us is to sit back and wait to receive it. When you believe you have already received something, or you know that you are absolutely going to receive it, then you don't worry or ask for it over and over again.
You just sit back and you are grateful and wait for it to come to you. That is the assurance that God wants us to show and believe once we ask for something in prayer.
God give us another Promise of Prosperity in, Jeremiah 29: 11
For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
God desires for us to prosper. He desires for us to have good health and abundance. If it were not so, he would not have spoken about it so much in the bible.
Give
Giving is a vital part of abundance. Giving requires you to give to others and give to God.
Giving to others requires love and helping others in need. You need to have an attitude of service in order to receive God's blessings yourself. You need to give money to your church who in turn should be helping others and this is where the blessings are multiplied.
Malachi 3:8-12 - ( NIV) 8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.
“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
“In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.
This is another gift from God. The gift of giving and receiving. When you give cheerfully and out of love, God in turn blesses you back, so much so, that you will not have room enough to receive it.
It is the ultimate gift that keeps on giving. For to give is to truly receive because when you give your hands are open, not closed. When your hands are open, God can give back to you more than you have given and more than you have room to receive. Who would not want that?
Just begin to exercise your faith today like never before and put these gifts from God to practice and see how God will transform your life!
